Dr. Jenna Polacek was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and received a bachelor’s in biology from St. Louis University. After undergraduate school, Dr. Jenna decided to stay close to home and attended Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Looking back, she considers this one of the best decisions of her life because she met her wonderful husband there!
Following dental school, Dr. Jenna decided to continue her education and attended a one-year hospital-based general practice residency at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. She gained experience in interdisciplinary care and was exposed to pediatric hospital-based dentistry.
Always having an affinity for children, this experience led her to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry, and she completed her pediatric residency at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Jenna was honored at Michigan when her residency research topic was selected for official publication through the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Jenna is a board-certified diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also active in many professional circles, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. She loves to further her education with continuing education in all aspects of pediatric dentistry and child development.
Outside the office, Dr. Jenna’s favorite pastime is being outdoors. She loves to get fresh air by hiking, gardening, running, and visiting National Parks. Her new favorite hobby, however, is being a mother. Dr. Jenna welcomed a little girl in July, and the two are inseparable! She looks forward to making many more memories with her new family.
